Proud Supporters
Dr. James Irvine and Trudy Connor have called La Ronge home for decades. They raised their family here, dedicated careers to serving the North, and built a stronger future for all of us.
They have committed an extraordinary $300,000 to sponsor two dialysis rooms in the new long-term care facility — bringing life-saving treatment closer to home.
Their gift is more than generous — it's deeply personal. It reflects their lifelong commitment to La Ronge, Northern Saskatchewan's people, and the idea that everyone deserves quality, accessible healthcare close to family, culture, and community.
Please join us in celebrating Dr. Irvine and Trudy Connor and their incredible impact on the future of healthcare in the North.
A huge thank you to First Nations Insurance Services Limited Partnership (FNIS) for their generous commitment of $75,000 to sponsor the first-floor Family Recreation Room within the new La Ronge & Area Long-Term Care Home.
Under the leadership of Managing Director Tammy McKay, FNIS recognized the importance of ensuring people can access quality healthcare closer to home, and their support is making a meaningful difference.
FNIS is a leader in Indigenous health and pension services, with more than 35 years of experience serving communities across Saskatchewan and beyond. As a 91% Kitsaki-owned company, FNIS is part of the Kitsaki Management Limited Partnership family of companies, the economic development arm of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band. Through its investments and partnerships, Kitsaki helps create opportunities and long-term benefits for current and future generations of band members.
Family Recreation Rooms are designed to provide welcoming spaces where residents can connect with loved ones and fellow residents, celebrate special moments, and enjoy meaningful activities together in a comfortable setting. There will be three Family Recreation Rooms in the facility, one on each floor, located between the two wings.
Tammy and the entire FNIS team, thank you for your commitment to strengthening healthcare in our region and helping us bring care closer to home. Your generosity will leave a lasting impact on residents, families, and communities across Northern Saskatchewan.
